Leadership Update
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Marco Maruccia, an Italian who embarked on a journey to the Netherlands at the tender age of 21. Arriving in a foreign land where I knew no one, I faced the challenge of adapting to a new culture, cuisine, and climate. Five years ago, I made a decision that would alter the course of my life: I founded ReloAdvisor with the goal of assisting fellow expatriates in their relocation journeys. Just a few months after our inception, we found ourselves grappling with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a stressful time for a business owner tasked with ensuring the well-being of my colleagues while steadfastly believing in the dream we had set out to achieve.
In the face of adversity, we refused to succumb to despair.
Together with my dedicated team, we brainstormed ways to adapt and innovate. That's when the idea of organizing a business event to connect with industry friends was born. Our first gathering in Rotterdam drew 80 attendees, followed by a larger turnout of 120 in Amsterdam the following year. Encouraged by our success, we ventured to Lisbon last year, where we introduced the revolutionary concept of speed dating and welcomed 130 attendees from around the globe. But beyond generating leads for private and corporate clients, we recognized the need to boost a network of agents among ReloAdvisor members.
Thus, the RA Movers Business Events were born—a platform where I could personally invite my business (friends) connections from over 10,000 movers worldwide to connect and strengthen business collaborations when they need to fill their containers
